8-Mop, also medically known as methoxsalen, is a type of medication used in the treatment of severe psoriasis and vitiligo.
This type of medication is available as hard gelatin capsules to be taken orally.
Common side effects often associated with 8-Mop include itchy skin, nausea, dizziness, headache, insomnia and nervousness. If the side effects do not go away or appear to be getting progressively worse, contact your doctor (or other health care professional) for immediate assistance.
Slight reddening of your skin within 24 to 48 hours of treatment is expected; however if the skin becomes sore or blistered, contact your doctor immediately.
8-Mop may occasionally be prescribed for other purposes as well, as suggested by your doctor.
