AcipHex , chemically known as rabeprazole, is a tablet that is taken by mouth to treat conditions where the stomach makes too much acid, including ulcers , gastroesophageal reflux disease , Zollinger-Ellison syndrome and erosive esophagitis.
It works as a proton pump inhibitor to reduce the production of acid in the stomach. This medicine should be taken on an empty stomach with a full glass of water. Do not crush, break or chew tablets before swallowing. If AcipHex upsets your stomach, you may take the tablet with food.
No common side effects have been reported by users of AcipHex , although some users have experienced allergic reactions such as itching, rash, dizziness, swelling or difficulty breathing.
