Armour Thyroid

Armour Thyroid is a thyroid hormone used to treat hypothyroidism and symptoms of low thyroid levels, such as poor growth, hair loss, dry or thick skin, tiredness, fatigue, constipation, slow speech, sensitivity to cold, slow heartbeat or weight gain.

It comes as a capsule or tablet to be taken by mouth once a day before the first meal. The medicine normally takes about two weeks to have noticeable effects.

Although no common side effects have been reported, they may occur in very few cases. If you experience the symptoms such as headache, upset stomach, diarrhea, vomiting, insomnia, fever, sensitivity to heat, tremor or weight loss, you should check with your doctor immediately.

Armour Thyroid may also be used to treat goiter and other medical conditions, as prescribed by your doctor.

Currently taking .88mcg of Synthroid. I am miserable. Just went to an "Endo Doc" that made me feel like I was a hypocondriac. He did not want to listen to my symptoms, told me I needed to exercise more and eat less. P.S. told him I have been exercising 6-7 days a week for 8 years with a healthy diet. His response do more and eat less. I am tired of being exausted all the time. Anyone have a suggestions? Debbie Healey, Charlotte, NC
