Betaseron

Betaseron contains Interferon Beta-1b, which is an artificial protein that is used to treat symptoms of relapsing multiple sclerosis (MS), including problems with speech or vision, bladder control, muscle numbness, weakness and loss of coordination.

This medicine is injected under the skin every other day, or as determined by your doctor, after laboratory tests and physical examinations indicate the patient suffers from MS.

Betaseron may cause side effects such as dizziness, headache, flushing, upset stomach, diarrhea, constipation, weight change, hair loss, leg cramps, muscle pain or difficulty sleeping.

Betaseron , as a biologic response modifier, may also be used for other medical conditions, as prescribed by your doctor.
