BuSpar, also known as Buspirone, is an anti-anxiety agent used to treat anxiety disorders in patients who are at least 18 years or older. It is also used in the treatment of short-term anxiety symptoms.
BuSparreduces the levels of serotonin in certain parts of the brain to control anxiety. One tablet can contain up to 5-milligrams of this medicine. Take one BuSpar tablet two to three times daily as recommended by your doctor.
Common side effects after taking BuSpar include light headache, dizziness, nervousness, drowsiness, excitement, restlessness or nausea.
BuSpar may also used to treat other medical conditions, as prescribed by your doctor.
