Capoten

Capoten , also known as captopril, is an angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor that is used to treat high blood pressure, congestive heart failure and kidney diseases.

It loosens the tightened blood vessels by reducing the amount of certain chemicals in the body. As a result, the heart pumps blood efficiently and the blood moves easily.

Capoten is as an oral tablet to be taken two to three times daily, one or two hours before a meal.

The most commonly reported side effects of Capoten are headache, cough, sore throat, irregular heartbeat, decreased appetite and unusual bruising.

Capoten can be used to treat other conditions, as prescribed by your doctor.
