Celexa
Celexa, also known as citalopram, is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) used to treat mental depression. It works by increasing the levels of the chemical serotonin in the brain.
Celexa comes as an oral tablet and an oral solution taken with or without food. It normally takes up to four weeks to feel the benefits of Celexa., and at least six months to prevent the depression from reoccurring.

Common side effects of Celexa include tiredness, diarrhea, dry mouth, nausea, itching, decreased menstrual flow and changes in weight, taste and sexual function.
Celexa may also be used in the treatment of other conditions, as determined by your doctor.

my new G.P. suggested that i try celexa to help with my major depression and i have taken 10mg. for just 2 weeks and see a remarkable difference in my energy and moods.
when i see him again i want to request to go to the 20 mg.

My new doctor just switched me from Effexor to Celexa two weeks ago. I am already noticing the improvement in my mental state. I have more energy and focus to get things done and I am not constantly thinking, "is it time for bed yet".
