Diabeta , also medically known as glyburide, is an anti-diabetic medication used to treat high blood sugar or type 2 diabetes (non-insulin dependent diabetes). It stimulates the pancreas to produce insulin, so that the body will use insulin efficiently and lower the blood sugar level.
Diabeta comes as an oral tablet taken once or twice daily with a meal. If only pill a day is prescribed, it is typically taken in the morning.
The most commonly side effects of Diabeta are light headache, weakness, sweating, dizziness, nervousness, shakiness, mood swing, increased of appetite, sudden hunger, pale skin, seizures and clumsy movements.
Diabeta may also be used to treat other medical conditions, as prescribed by your doctor.
