Digitek , medically known as digoxin, is a cardiac glycoside used to treat abnormal heart rhythms and heart failure. It is also used in the treatment of heart pain or after a heart attack.
Digitek comes as an oral tablet, a capsule, and a pediatric elixir taken once every day, as suggested by your doctor. Normally, a low-salt (low-sodium) diet will be recommended by doctors for patients who take Digitek on a daily basis.
Common side effects of Digitek are light headache, dizziness, drowsiness, blurred vision, skin rash, loss of appetite, upset stomach and irregular heartbeat.
