Flomax

Flomax , medically called tamsulosin, is an alpha blocker used to treat Benign Prostatic Hypertrophy symptoms including frequent urination urgency, uncomfortable feeling in the bladder, and a weak stream when urinating.

This drug works by relaxing the prostate muscles, so that the bladder will be opened and urine can flow easier.

Flomax comes as an oral capsule to take once a day, around the same time every day, 30 minutes after a meal.

Side effects of Flomax include drowsiness, dizziness, nasal congestion, cough, muscle weakness, back pain, abnormal ejaculation, and insomnia.

Flomax may also be used for other purposes, as directed by your doctor.
