Floxin

Floxin is also known as ofloxacin. It is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic used to control bacterial infections, such as bronchitis , pneumonia , venereal disease and infections of the skin, prostate or urinary tract. This kind of medicine wont work for flu, colds and other viral infections.

Floxin comes as an oral tablet to be taken twice a day, with or without food, for 3 to 10 days. Depending on the infection, some patients may have to take Floxin for more than 6 weeks to treat.

The most common side effects of Floxin include headache, dizziness, nervousness, tiredness, vomiting, nausea, stomach pain, and trouble staying asleep or falling asleep.

Floxin may also be used to treat other conditions, as suggested by your doctor.
