Imdur

Imdur , also known as isosorbide mononitrate, is a vasodilator used to treat and prevent angina (chest pain). It relaxes the blood vessels, so the oxygen and blood can flow easily through the vessels.

Imdur comes as a chewable, a sublingual, an extended-release tablet and an extended-release capsule taken three to four times a day, as directed by your doctor.

Side effects of Imdur may occur, including headache, dizziness, upset stomach, flushing, rash, dry mouth, and blurred vision. It is common that you may taste a sweet, tingling sensation when you place the tablet under your tongue.

Imdur may be used to treat other conditions, as determined by your doctor.

I had severe headaches taking this medicine, and since it is supposed to "free blood flow", I would be interested in learning why a "headache" would be a side effect. Thanks
