Imitrex

Imitrex, chemically called sumatriptan, is a cerebral vasoconstrictor used to treat severe symptoms associated with migraine headaches. It also helps relieve other symptoms associated with migraines, including sensitivity to light or sound, nausea, and vomiting.

This type of medicine is available as an oral tablet and a nasal spray. Take Imitrex as soon as your headache begins. Your doctor may increase your dose gradually, as needed.

Imitrex contains several side effects. Patients who are taking Imitrex may experience dizziness, drowsiness, nausea, vomiting, muscle aches, or discomfort in the nose.

Imitrex may also be prescribed to treat other conditions, as suggested by your doctor.

I agree that the packaging is problematic. If the manufacturer had ever experienced a migraine headache at its peak, he would understand why it is impossible to read the directions and remove the injectable product. I am in tears trying to read the directions and prepare the syringe.

imitrex does help my headaches, but I hate how it makes my skin feel. I can't take a shower after I have taken imitrex, my skin feels so sensve and weird. I also hate the packaging. It seems like a lot if waste, and makes a mess in my medicine cabinet. It does work though! If I take it in time, it works!

I hate to complain about such a wonderful product, but its the packaging. I have to get my pills ready in a tin case as soon as I get them. There is no way I could get the pills out when I was hit with a headache. Thank you, Barbara Oleksak
