Junel 1/20 , a combination of norethindrone and ethinyl estradiol, is an oral contraceptive pill used to prevent pregnancy. It works by thickening the walls of the uterus to prevent the development of a pregnancy.

Junel 1/20 comes in a packet of 21 tablets taken once every day at the same time, for 21 days, and then rest for the next seven days. After the seven days, you may start a new packet of Junel 1/20 and repeat the cycle as needed.

Common side effects of Junel 1/20 include bleeding between menstrual periods, nausea, vomiting, breast tenderness, and unusual weight change.

Junel 1/20 may also be used to treat symptoms of menopause or other conditions, as suggested by your doctor.
