Ketoprofen is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug which is used in the treatment of minor aches and pains associated with common colds, headaches, muscle aches, backache and arthritis .
Ketoprofen comes in the form of a capsule which is taken by mouth, usually three to four times per day, as prescribed by your doctor. Never take more or less than what has been prescribed specifically to you. Follow the directions provided on your prescription label.
Common side effects associated with this type of medication include dizziness, headache, vomiting, upset stomach, stomach pain, diarrhea and constipation. If the side effects become severe or appear to be getting progressively worse, contact your doctor or other medical professional for assistance.
Occasionally, Ketoprofen will be prescribed to reduce fever, menstrual pain or pain after surgery, childbirth or dental work. It may be prescribed to treat other conditions as well, as directed by your doctor.
