Lorazepam

Lorazepam is a benzodiazepine which is used to relieve anxiety and cause drowsiness before specific medical procedures. This type of drug can become very addictive, so make sure you do not take any more than what has been prescribed by your doctor.

Lorazepam comes in the form of oral tablets or liquid. It is generally taken two to three times per day, with or without food. Prescriptions will vary according to each individual case. Never take more or less than what is prescribed by your doctor.

Some of the common side effects users may experience when taking Lorazepam include dizziness, drowsiness, fatigue, dry mouth, upset stomach and diarrhea. If you are experiencing some of the more severe side effects such as fever, inability to sit still, inability to balance or an irregular heartbeat, contact your doctor immediately for assistance.

Occasionally Lorazepam may be prescribed to treat irritable bowel syndrome , epilepsy , nausea from cancer treatment, insomnia and agitation due to alcohol withdrawal. It may be prescribed for other purposes as well, as directed by your doctor.
