Luvox , also known as fluvoxamine, is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) used to treat obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD). It may also be taken to treat depression.
Luvox is taken in the form of an oral tablet, usually once or twice a day depending on the prescription you have been given. Always follow the directions provided on your prescription label and never take more or less than what has been prescribed to you.
Common side effects associated with Luvox include drowsiness, upset stomach, dry mouth, headache, diarrhea, indigestion and nervousness. If you are experiencing some of the more severe side effects such as a rapid heartbeat, excessive sweating, skin rashes or convulsions, contact your doctor immediately for assistance.
Occasionally, Luvox will be prescribed for other purposes as well, under the direction of your doctor.
