Naprelan is a non-steroidal, anti-inflammatory drug that is used to relieve pain and swelling. It is taken orally, in either tablet or capsule form.
This type of medication works by blocking the prostaglandin-producing enzyme in your body. Eliminating prostaglandins assists in reducing pain and swelling associated with headaches, muscle aches, asthma, tendonitis, menstrual pain and gout.
Common side effects which may occur while taking this medication include abdominal pain, diarrhea, dizziness, lightheadedness, nausea, heartburn and drowsiness. If the side effects become severe, contact your doctor immediately.
Naprelan may occasionally be prescribed for other uses, as directed by your doctor.
