Propecia is an enzyme inhibitor which is used to treat urinary difficulties caused by an enlargement of the prostate. It is also used by a number of balding men in order to stimulate hair growth.
Propecia is taken orally in the form of tablets. Your dosages will depend on your doctors specifications. Only take the amount prescribed by your doctor.
This type of medication may cause side effects in some users. Some of the common side effects (which do not require medical attention) include mild abdominal pain, back pain, decrease in sex drive, diarrhea, dizziness, headache and impotence. If you are experiencing more severe side effects, contact your doctor immediately.
Pregnant women should not use Propecia or handle crushed or broken tablets. The enzymes can be absorbed by the skin and cause abnormalities in the sex organs of a male baby.
Occasionally, Propecia will be prescribed for other purposes, as directed by your doctor.
