Risperdal

Risperdal , also known as risperdone, is an antipsychotic drug used to treat symptoms of emotional and mood disorders, specifically schizophrenia . Older adults with dementia who are suffering from behavioral problems should not use Risperdal as treatment for their disorder.

Taken orally, in capsule or tablet form, Risperdal is effective in balancing certain chemicals in the brain (dopamine and serotonin) that have been linked to mood disorders.

Common side effects related to Risperdal in include difficulty in speaking or swallowing, inability to move eyes as well as back, neck and face spasms.

Risperdal may also be used to treat other types of conditions, as suggested by your doctor.

This medication for my Mother does not work.. It is only 1 mgs.. Not strong enough..

Taking this medication in a 0.5mg dosage does it act as ativan or stronger?
