Spectazole , also commonly known as econazole, is an anti-fungal medicine used to treat certain types of skin conditions such as athletes foot , jock itch and ringworm .
Spectazole comes in the form of a cream which is applied to the infected area. It is usually applied twice a day for approximately two weeks, as prescribed by your doctor.
Some of the common side effects associated with Spectazole include itching, burning, stinging and redness on the infected area after cream is applied. If the side effects appear to be getting progressively worse or do not go away after a prolonged amount of time, contact your doctor for assistance.
This type of medication may be used to treat other types of skin conditions as well, as determined by your doctor.
