Unithroid is a thyroid hormone used to treat hypothyroidism , a condition in which the thyroid gland does not produce sufficient thyroid hormone.
This type of drug should not be used to help obese patients lose weight if they have properly working thyroids. This tablet is taken orally, once a day, before breakfast on an empty stomach.
Common side effects Unithroid users may experience include weight loss, tremor, headache, upset stomach, nervousness, insomnia , excessive sweating and changes in the menstrual cycle.
