Univasc

Univasc is an angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor used in the treatment of high blood pressure, also known as hypertension .

High blood pressure can damage both the heart and the arteries. If your arteries and your heart are not working properly, the blood vessels in your brain, heart and kidneys can be damaged which may lead to a stroke, heart failure or kidney failure.

Univasc is used to delay further weakening of the heart. This type of medication can be taken orally in the form of a tablet or injected into your body.

Common side effects associated with this type of medicine include coughing, headaches, diarrhea, nausea and extreme fatigue.

Univasc may occasionally be used for other purposes, under the supervision of your doctor.
