Uroxatral

Uroxatral , also known as alfuzosin, is an alpha-blocker used specifically in the treatment of symptoms associated with Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia or benign enlargement of the prostate.

Uroxatral aids in the relaxation of the prostate muscles and the opening of the bladder. This type of medication is taken orally in the form of 24 hour tablets.

Common side effects associated with Uroxatral include dizziness, headaches, lightheadedness, slight abdominal pain and muscle aches and pains. If the side effects do not go away within a couple of days or appear to be getting progressively worse, contact your doctor for medical assistance.

Uroxatral is occasionally prescribed for other purposes, as determined by your doctor.
