Vasotec

Vasotec is an angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor which is used in the treatment of high blood pressure. It works by preventing the formation of angiotensin II in the body to relax the blood vessels and arteries which makes it easier to transport blood and oxygen to the heart.

This type of medication can be orally consumed in the form of a tablet or can be injected into the body.

Common side effects associated with Vasotec include coughing, headache, diarrhea, loss of taste, extreme fatigue and nausea. If these side effects become severe or persist for more than a couple of days, contact a doctor or other medical professional for help.

Vasotec is occasionally used to treat congestive heart disease or to decrease the likeliness of developing heart failure in certain patients.
