Viagra

Viagra, also medically known as sildenafil, is used to treat erectile dysfunction (impotence) in men. Viagra falls into the medical classifications of phosphodiesterase inhibitors.

Viagra works by increasing the blood flow to the penis during sexual stimulation. This enables the male to achieve and keep an erection. This type of medication does not protect against pregnancy or any form of sexually transmitted disease.

Viagra is taken orally in the form of a tablet. This tablet should be taken about one hour prior to sexual activity. No more than one tablet is recommended per day.

Common side effects associated with this drug include headache, dizziness, upset stomach, stuffy nose and diarrhea.

Occasionally, Viagra may be used for other purposes under the direction of your doctor.
