Vivelle is a female hormone given to women who are no longer capable of producing sufficient amounts of estrogen. This medication is used to reduce menopausal symptoms such as hot flashes, and vaginal dryness, chills and dizziness.
Vivelle is designed to make up for the amount of estrogen lost as a result of menopause.
This drug is taken orally in the form of tablets or capsules, but can also be given through injection or topical solutions.
Common side effects associated with Vivelle include bladder pain, bloated feeling, bloody or cloudy urine, muscle aches and pains and a general feeling of discomfort or sadness. If these side effects seem to be getting progressively worse, contact your doctor for assistance.
Vivelle will occasionally be prescribed for other purposes, as directed by your doctor.
