Zantac

Zantac is a histamine clocker which is used in the treatment and prevention of ulcers. This type of medication may also be used to treat gastric ulcers or gastroesophageal reflux disease .

Zantac is taken orally in the form of capsules or tablets and can also be taken as an injection.

Common side effects associated with this type of medication include constipation, diarrhea, decreased sexual desire, urination difficulty, headache and dizziness. If the side effects appear to be getting worse, contact your doctor or other health care professional immediately.

Occasionally, Zantac may be prescribed for other purposes as well, as directed by your doctor.
